The score begins at 50, adds complete tournament production, and gives extra credit to damage and quality execution in difficult situations.
2OB Top Performer= 50 + R + TB + RBI - K + 0.33(SB + SF + SAC + HBP) + 0.15BB + 1.5(2-Out Barrels) + 1.0(RISP hits) + 0.5(two-strike hits) + 0.5(battle QABs)
2-Out Barrel: hard contact or an extra-base hit with two outs, identified from play-by-play. Hard contact can still result in an out.

Situational hitting
The conventional line is only part of the story. The play-by-play shows how often a hitter delivered when the plate appearance became more difficult or more valuable.
